Snow for all the family
In Val di Sole, the youngest members of the family can learn to ski in a fun and pleasant space and, more importantly, an extremely safe environment, at schools that are like more like snow playgrounds.
Thanks to the "mobile carpets", getting to the top is easy and fun, so they can learn to make their first glides and descents on the snow.
There are also activities suitable for the whole family, including many trails designed for excursions on foot with snowshoes, or Nordic walking.
Skiing for experts and professionals
In addition to the easy and medium pistes, there are also some black pistes such as the "Nera Folgarida" (1.8 km), the "Nera Marilleva", the "Pista Orti" and the new "Little Grizzly".
In Madonna di Campiglio, you'll find the super steep "Spinale direttissima" and many more.
What's more, Madonna di Campiglio hosts the Male World Cup slalom on the Miramonti avalanche chute.
Spend the day training to improve your technique both on the piste and in-between the poles.
Special attractions worth mentioning are the lit-up pistes in Folgarida, Marilleva and Pejo.
A 14,000 m2 Snowpark at 1,800 metres will be suitable for lovers of jumps, evolutions and acrobatics, with an artificial snow installation and all the natural and artificial structures (e.g. jibbing area, kicker area) suitable for snowboarding and free-styling.
At the Tonale pass, the season begins in October where you can ski on the Presena glacier until spring.
... and what about for those who don't ski?
If you wish to experience the snow at a slower pace, far from the crowds, there is nothing better than a walk with snowshoes on your feet, even at night.
In winter, ice waterfalls forms. These are suitable for ice climbing. Safely climb one of the many ice waterfalls with ice axes and traction cleats, accompanied by the Alpine Guides of Val di Sole. It will be an unforgettable and highly suggestive experience.
In the malgas, you can try products of excellence of the Val di Sole kitchen: the Casolét, a traditional cheese and Slow Food product.
